The Niles City Police Department Houses Prescription Drug Dropbox




Located in the lobby/lower level of the Safety Service Complex, just plop your unused medications in and go.  There are also collection containers for cell phones and ink cartridges at this spot.



Why should unwanted, unused or expired medication be properly disposed of?

1) Painkiller abuse starts with family & friends
More than two thirds of people who said they had gotten high on painkillers for the first time in the previous year got the pills from family or friends, according to the analysis of two years of data from the National Survey on Drug Use and Health.

2) Flushed medication ends up in our water supply. Who wants that?
